i have bought flax seeds – brown small seeds. how to eat them. do they need cooking, do they need grinding or soaking in water

you can buy flax seed powder and sprinkle it onto cereal, yogurt, salad & drinks — you can put it in smoothies too.
thats what i do.
i like the powder better.
People just add them to everything. You can also get flax seed oil and substitute it in baking recipes. Recipes at the link:
Apparently flax seeds go rancid very quickly and if you’re going to have flax seed powder it is best to grind them yourself. I buy brown flax seeds and grind them in my coffee grinder and add it to my cereal.
