How much sugar should I take per day to gain weight?

I need to gain weight, and I now sugar slows down metabolism, so I’m going to add more sugar in my day. With this I’m going to eat more and work out lightly to build muscle.
I know sugar increases the risk of diabetes, but I’m thinner, so is there less of a risk?
How much should I take?
Anything else I should do to gain weight?

No, don’t take more sugar.

You need to increase calories overall and eat fibrous foods such as whole wheat products, fruits, vegetables and proteins as well.

You should not slow down your metabolism, simply eat more while still eating healthier food.

Worst case, increase intake of natural sugar found in fruits. You can try eating nuts also, many of them are good for health and have high calories as well. Make sure that you control your fat though.
