How much sugar is in one teaspoon of sugar?
How much sugar is in one teaspoon of sugar? I found on the internet that a teaspoon holds 5g. Does this mean 1 teaspoon has 5g of sugar? If I put this into say a bottled water the nutrition facts would say 5g sugar?
Thank you.

One teaspoon.
LOL! Yes 1 tsp of sugar IS 5 grams of sugar!
yes. depends what you consider a teaspoon though. you could have it so full so that no sugar falls off but that could be two teaspoons based on their standards
yes, 1 tsp sugar = 5 grams = 16 calories
But putting it into a bottle water will not affect the label already on the water…….
Duh, one teaspoon = 1 tespoon which = 5grams
ummmm a lot? i dont know, sorry, i guess i probably shouldnt have answered this,
cara
do u want to know how much a teaspoon of sugar weighs?
I’m no expert but I’m going to go with 1 teaspoon.
uh! sure…..ok! I am not that smart….
250 to 300 granules
one teaspone is one teaspone. . . .
536 grains of sugar i should know i have counted them
A teaspoon. Stupid questions get stupid answers. Just look above.
It would be 5g if measured perfectly … If you are planning to manufacture bottled water, you’d better come up with a more reliable method of measurement.
Yes, approximately.
When comparing volume measurements with mass measurements, you can’t make a direct, 1-to-1 comparison unless the density of the thing being measured is the same as water at “STP” (standard temperature and pressure).
Having said that, generally speaking, 1 ounce is = 28.4g and we generally assume that 1 ounce of volume = 1 ounce of mass (true for water at STP). Two tablespoons = 1 ounce. One tablespoon = 0.5 ounces. One teaspoon = 0.33 tablespoons. Therefore, one teaspoon = 1/6 of an ounce or 1/6 of 28.4g which rounds to appx. 5g
So you are approximately correct.
about 540 granules or 1/3 of a tablespoon or 4 grams which equals 15 calories and has 4 grams of total carbohydrates.this is pure granulated sugar. In a 4 pound bag or 1.81kg there are 454 servings of 1 teaspoon per serving
yep, you can say that !
