How long does it take japanese rice to cook in a rice cooker?
Japanese short-grain rice, the kind used for sushi and such. I have a cheap rice cooker, just a warm and cook setting. I need to know because while I’m getting ready in the morning, I’d like to have an idea when its done and also leave it to steam for 10 minutes.

about 20-30 minutes.
depending on how much is in the steamer…10 to 25mintues.

It depends on how much you are cooking. If you are cooking 3-4 cups, I would say it takes about 25 minutes, give or take a few.
It all depends on how much rice you are going to cook. To cook 3 cups of rice in the rice cooker it usually takes about 20-30 minutes.
