How Long Can You Store Used Peanut Oil?
Ok, So I’m deep frying a turkey for thanksgiving this year… Now about the only time I ever use my fryer is at thanksgiving to cook the turkey! I know you can reuse peanut oil after it’s been heated… but how long will it keep for? Next thanksgiving? Or will it go bad in that time?

Sorry, but it goes bad very fast, even in the fridge, especially because of the meat/meat juices in it (because of the turkey). You can keep it at most 3 weeks *in the fridge*.
After letting it cool, strain it out. Store it in either a dark, cool place or in the refrigerator (preferred). You can get a couple of more uses out of it for about 4 weeks. Bad oil will give off a very rancid smell.
