How long can you store butter in the refrigerator before it’s no longer safe to eat?
This is a stick of garlic butter with pieces of herb in it, so I won’t be able to see discoloration. Also there is no expiration date to work with.

no set rule, temp is factor. sniff to see if rancid…you will have an old almost musty metallic smell in old butter. If smells fresh go for it.
Toss it kiddo! The garlic and herbs will go bad first and the butter will be rancid You should freeze these things tightly wrapped
Wrapped butter has a shelf life of several months at refrigerator temperatures. If it is open it will last a month.
Smell it. You will definitely know if it’s bad.
