How long after yogurt is opened do the bacteria last?

I have a container of yogurt with active cultures in it in my fridge. It’s been opened for about a week. How long do the bacteria last after the container is opened? It is being stored at a proper temperature and sealed.

Thanks!
That’s not what I’m asking. The yogurt does not expire until Febuary 22nd. I need to know how long the active bacteria stay alive once the seal is broken.

hi!! read the expiry date. it differs for each brand.i mean the expiry time. if u hav thrown the lid, then throw the yoghurt also coz’ 7 days is quite doubtful. taste it. the taste completely changes even one day above the expiry date.

there are millions of bacteria in the yogurt just after they come off of production. most guarantee this on the tub. the key is “at the time of production”. during shipping, the a lot of the bacteria dies. if you keep the yogurt at the optimal temp, the bacteria should live through the shelf life of the yogurt
