How long after the expiration date is sealed sour cream good?
It said it expired on July 19th. It’s the 22nd today. I just opened it to try and it tastes fine so I am eating some. But I was wondering how long I could take to use up the container? I don’t want to eat a bunch of sour cream when I don’t have to. Haha. So yeah, how can I tell how much longer it will last? Thanks!

Can’t always say exactly how long it’ll last… But just keep in the fridge and always look at it (see if there’s any strange mould etc) and smell/taste it before you use it. Also, make sure you keep dirt out of it, other foods etc… so if you’re taking some out with a spoon make sure it’s clean
It should last a few more days, but you never know depending on brand, type of packaging etc…. All makes a difference.

some foods you can eat after their best before date and whilst wont make you ill, theyno longer taste at their optimum
dairy products and cultures however are not one of these food groups, they have bacteria in them that do have a shelf life hence the expiry date
i would NOT eat this now
never mind keep it for a few more days
Does it say use before or best before? Best before means it is best to use it before so and so date to get the full quality. Use before is more stricter and means what it says….
