How long after milk expires can you drink it?

I have a half-gallon of milk in my fridge, it is unopened, and the expiration date is May 5th. Is the milk still good to drink, since it hasn’t been opened, or should I throw it out?

If the milk has been kept in a cold fridge and it still smells good you can drink it up to three days after expiry date. It is a best before date not an expired date. make sure to smell it first and if it has not been open you should be more than fine. even if it has turned a bit whats the worst that can happen ….
A little stomach discomfort shall we say.

Take your chances. Be a rebel.
My girlfriend said it’s good for two weeks after expiration date.

If it taste good…drink up.

Best way to check is open it. If it smells like milk then its good for a day or two but if it smells ‘off’ or sour or just not the way fresh milk smells then put it down the sink

Good luck

technically u can drink it anytime…but u shouldnt

depends on how good your frig is
smell it & check for lumps to be sure

boil it first, and then stick a finger in the pot. (obviouusly not WHILE boiling) if stuff stick to your finger like boogery ches-looking stuff, i wouldn’t drink it.

it’s all right you can drink it, mine ex pirated a week ago so, I boil it and I washed the container and I put it back you know when you boil it you pasteurize it again and it tastes good.

Ask your husband or BF to take a swigg…
if he spits, the milk has past it’s expiration date…if he farts, it’s all good.

well i spent all of my live drinking expired milk, no joking kaka, but i guess you can drink it, i am not a doctor but i tried it and nothing happend to me. so try it and pray the lord nothing happen.

non fat milk lasts for longer than homogenised milk due to the lower fat content. 2-3 days after expiration date should be fine (but I’d say smell the milk first), the fact that it hasn’t been opened doesn’t make any difference unfortunatly

As long a it smells ok it is ok.
