How intense in flavor is peanut oil?

I want to pan fry some chicken breasts and I want to use peanut oil. I normally use olive oil, but I want a big change in flavor. Will using peanut oil do it?

I’m asking because I’ve never used peanut oil.

I don’t deep fry in anything else but peanut oil! Fish, chicken, etc… It just tastes better to my bunch, can’t say it’s a strong flavor, just mildly different… Besides it’s wat the resturants use, thats why stuff at home doesn’t taste as good. It can withstand the high heat & hotter temp. than vegetable, canola, corn, or live so it can that is why it is so good for frying….

It is very similar to using vegetable or canola oil.
The taste really isn’t strong at all.
You will see a notable difference in flavor as olive oil is very strong.
My father always fried his chicken in peanut oil.
It has a much higher temperature tolerance than other oils.
He was a professional chef and his chicken always tasted great!

it wont be too strong at all
just dont overcook it

Not intense at ALL. It is just like olive oil and is good if you cook with it in a generous amount. It is made of peanuts, (DUH) and can be used to cook in the pan, rub on the grill, or make a delicious dressing for a salad:

1 cup fresh chopped greens
1/4 cup peanut oil
1 teaspoon soysauce
1 tablespoon vinegar
1/4 cup peanuts, finely chopped
salt and pepper
Grated parmesean cheese

Add
‘em all in a bowl, cover, and shake it up.

Peanut oil is great for chicken. It has a high smoking point and will fry the chicken real nice. Peanut oil is also used for deep frying turkey. You can’t use it for things like salad dressing or baking, but you can’t beat it for frying.

Definitely try the peanut oil. It can handle higher temperatures, making your chicken more crispy without scorching. The flavor is incredibly mild, and I think it tastes a lot better than olive oil – especially when it comes to breaded food and french fries (lots of restaurants use peanut oil).

I would suggest that you fry your chicken in canola oil. It is better.

It is considered a neutral oil. It’s fine.
