How do you make the thick creamy and fluffy butter cream cupcake frosting?



Im making cupcakes. The cake is pink and i want a nice cream colored butter cream frosting.

Ingredients

2 cups confectioners’ sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 egg white
1/2 tablespoon water
3 tablespoons butter, softened

Directions

Combine all ingredients in bowl. Beat at low speed to mix. Beat at high speed until smooth and fluffy, approximately 5-10 minutes. If too stiff, beat in a few drops of water.

Yum!

all we use is butter and icing sugar and it turns out great, keep adding sugar two the butter as you mix it untill it is not greasy

1 cup crisco
1 stick non salted butter
4 cups powdered sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
(can also add almond extract which makes it delicious)
whip for a while to get really creamy

I like this one because it doesn’t require confectioner’s (powdered) sugar, and it doesn’t use eggs.

FRENCH VANILLA FROSTING
1 c. milk
3 tbsp. flour
Make a white sauce of above. It will be very thick. Boil for a few minutes. Cool completely.

1/2 lb. (2 sticks) butter
1 c. granulated sugar
2 tsp. vanilla

Cream butter. Add sugar and vanilla. Combine white sauce and beat at high speed on food mixer for about 5 minutes. Makes enough to fix and frost a 2 or 3 layer cake (or two dozen cupcakes).
