I know that grapes/raisins can harmfully affect your dogs liver. You should probably put chocolate up there too; it contains a stimulant theobromine, which raises the dogs heart rate and enough can kill it. And I would never feed my dog raw meat; it might give them worms or something….

One other thing: that kitty avatar sure is adorable!

onions cause anemia in dogs
grapes/raisins cause renal failure
yeast.. expands as it rises and can cause a blockage.. it also releases gas as it rises which could cause bloat.. also releases alchohol which can cause alchohol poisoning
potatos themselves are not toxic, but the plants may be.. rhubard, not sure, I will check that one. Parts of tomato plant are toxic, even to humans.
raw liver? If too much is given it may cause some loose stools, but that’s about it.. its healthy in small amounts.
macadamia nuts are toxic.. causes paralysis.

raw meat does not cause worms.. domestically raised livestock are generally wormed. Its not likely that your pet will get worms from eating raw meat. Humans just shouldnt eat it because of the potential for food-borne illness.. dogs were designed to eat and digest meat, including any “bugs” that may naturally be found in the meat.

rhubarb leaves.. Staggering, trembling, breathing difficulties, weakness, diarrhea, increased drinking and urinating, death.

tomatoe plants and unripe tomatos.. Hypersalivation, inappetence, severe gastrointestinal upset, diarrhea, drowsiness, CNS depression, confusion, behavioral change, weakness, dilated pupils, slow heart rate.

potatos.. apparantly green parts and sprouts.. Potato poisonings among people and dogs have occurred. Solanum alkaloids can be found in green sprouts and green potato skins, which occurs when the tubers are exposed to sunlight during growth or after harvest. The relatively rare occurrence of actual poisoning is due to several factors: solanine is poorly absorbed; it is mostly hydrolyzed into less toxic solanidinel; and the metabolites are quickly eliminated. Note that cooked, mashed potatoes are fine for dogs, actually quite nutritious and digestible.

(the same toxin is in both the potato and tomato)

You forgot chocolate. Google the info you are seeking. I think you can get more accurate answers that way. I never questioned why they can’t eat these items, but I think it is a good question. I am going to try a get some answers myself via the web. I do think that the yeast dough is of no harm. A lot of people still sprinkle brewers yeast on their dogs food to help control flea infestation.
