How do I get melted butter out of my microfiber couch?
Our grandson spilled melted butter on the couch. It stayed there over night. The soiled area is about the size of a grapefruit. All help appreciated.

pull off the cushion. look at the back. Can you take the zipper off and wash it?
Unfortunately, you may not be able to get this stain out, since it stayed on so long for one, and because liquids tend to permanently damage microfiber. However, here is a link to some cleaning tips for microfiber couches that may be able to help you.
If you take the cover off to wash it, be careful! Microfiber tends to shrink so make sure you wash by hand and DON’T put it in the dryer. It’s best to put the cover back on while it’s still damp (in case it shrinks).
If you want to spot-clean, use a De-greaser like Greased Lightning, and blot the stain off with a clean cloth. Make sure that you test any cleansers on an inconspocuous place before using them somewhere where a stain will show. It’s better to rinse and repeat repeatedly than to try to get the whole stain out at once. Don’t rub too hard or you could damage the microfiber nap.
