How do I catch yellow perch on a crappie jig?
I am fishing in the summer and i heard crappie jigs will catch them, can you tell me the best weight to use? Also what color is best? Any additional info would be helpful.

Using a jig, go with the smallest weight the the water depth and current will allow. It’s also helpful to use Berkly Nuggets on the hook, just pin them on. They give off a scent. Also, if the water is fairly clear and the day is sunny go with dark colors, purples and blacks. If it’s an overcast day go with light colors, pinks and whites.
Don’t know where you’re getting your info, but crappie jigs are not noted to be a highly successful perch lure. You’ll do a lot better on perch with minnows drifted under a bobber.
