How can I rush chilling the cheese portion of a cheese cake?

I’m making a cherry cheese cake for a gift and the party is in two hours. I’m supposed to chill a cheese layer for 3 hours before adding the fruit topping.

Freeze it till it has the desired consistency

There is a reason that recipes read the way they do, sure you could TRY to rush it, but do you want to serve it to company if its not right? BTW Freeze it?!?! then the texture won’t be right. On some things you can skips steps and rush it, but the results are tested on family first

Freezing it should do the trick.

The following procedure should speed up the chilling process but again it is always better to plan ahead when cooking a cheese cake for someone.

What you need…

*10lb slab of Dry Ice (Available at most grocery stores depending on local regulations, search for it locally online)
*1A cooler
*4 bricks
*Some aluminum foil

1. Place the finished cheese cake in the bottom of the cooler with aluminum foil over the top
2. Place the 4 bricks (or something similar) around the cake.
3. Place the slab on top of the brick and close the cooler.
4. Let the dry ice do its work and check the cake in 1 hr 30 min!
