How can I remove olive oil stains from my driveway?

I had a bottle of olive oil break in the bed of my truck on the way home from the grocery store. When I got home the oil ran out of the bed onto the driveway and has left a stain. I tried scrubbing it with Dawn dish soap and it didn’t help. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thank you.

1. Soak up any excess oil by spreading kitty litter on it. Do not use clumping kitty litter. Buy the cheapest clay kitty litter you can find.

2. Now that the bulk of the oil is gone, you need to remove the oil stains. To remove the oils stains, spray the stained areas with Carburetor Cleaner. Wait for the carburetor cleaner to dry/evaporate. Voila! the stain is gone!!! If necessary, you can follow with a second treatment of Carburetor Cleaner.

spread out “Kitty litter” use the back side of a push broom and “scrub” it in or use your foot in a twisting motion, takes longer but works better. You may have to do this a couple of times. to speed it up add a little houshold paint thinner. don’t forget to dispose of the remains in a safe manner

my husband sprayed brake cleaner on the oil spot and it removed it easily with just a little scrubbing with a wire brush.
