Fenugreek & Diabete?

My mother has been recommended fenugreek for diabetes and we found seeds not leaves or capsules. The shop lady said to boil 25gms of seeds with 2 litres of water, then pass gluid tru a sieve and drink the ‘tea’, up to 3 cups a day. Is this correct?

My Dad used to drink the sees tea as well, but that was for his asthma. He used to put 2 tsp. of seeds in a cup, pour boiling water over and steep for 10 minutes, then drink the tea. He never strained it, just left the seeds in the bottom of the cup..He had 1 cup a day.

There is no proof that fenugreek does anything for diabetes.

Continue with your doctors instructions.

Good luck.

Fenugreek, Bitter Melon and Cinnamon are all useful addition to the diet, BUT they do NOT replace prescribed medications!
