Does anyone know how to make a fudge-like peanut butter icing?

My nana makes a peanut butter and jelly cake. The problem is she never measures and I have yet to be able to duplicate this recipe. The icing contains vanilla, sugar, milk, and peanut butter. You bring the first 2 to bowl so it sort of makes a syrup. Then you add the peanut butter and immediately pour over the cake. Does anyone have a more detailed recipe that is similar to this?
I guess I should add one more detail. The icing does not have chocolate in it. It is judge a fudge-like consistency when it cools.

The icing your grandmother makes is the same as a fudge recipe cooked to a soft stage, then add your peanut butter, ice your cake after the icing cools down some,

A short cut is to purchase a fudge icing (ready made) add one cup confectioner sugar and 1/2 cup peanut butter, mix well, heat in your microwave and ice your cake

try this recipe it is a peanut butter frosting but to get your fudge like flavor.set up a double boiler and melt some milk chocolate/dark and add to some smooth peanut butter and brown sugar until you have your disired flavor you can add half cup of black coffee let cake cool

There are 2 possible answers for your question.
