Do you like rich people food?

Or will a burger and fries suit you just fine?

I ask because I saw the menu for a White House Dinner tonight in honor of the Pope’s visit.

morel-encrusted diver scallops, spatzle, angel hair asparagus bisque, veal, white truffle-potato dumplings, carrots and mushrooms, lettuces and candied pumpkin seeds, squash carpaccio, pumpkin oil vinaigrette, raspberry crisp and mint coulis

Sounds really nasty to me, but I don’t really care for fancy food like this.

Why do some people think there are people who are allergic to beef and poultry?

That is gross. “Fancy” food is normally exotic, and most people don’t like that.

This sounds great but I would much rather eat “regular” people food.

This is because I am not too much of a fan of sauces and rich flavored foods.

As for the food never know till you try it. didnt think I would like escargot but i do. Calamari. Id give it a shot but I like spicier food instead of sweeter food.

Oh and as for the size of the plates…. Its properly portioned food. As Americans what we consider normal is not. Its supersized and hence the obesity problem.

i do and sometimes i dont, i have many different tastes and cravings…today, that asperigus sound wonderful, but probably yesterday i would of gotton sick to my stomache

You’ll find that there isn’t really such thing as ‘rich people food’ as you can find everything in ‘rich people food’ in a grocery store.

Most of it is in the preparation.

Oh boy! It all sounds a bit sickly to me. I’d be just as happy with a pizza.

If I could eat like that all the time, I TOTALLY would! But since I can’t, I am very low maintence and will eat just about anything.

food is food and im okay with whatever as long as im not dying in starvation :]

They actually sound quite nice, if you think about how complex and rich the flavours would be, my mouth starts to water.
