Do you know this food?
I’m Japanese.Do you know natto, or fermented soybeans? Needless to say, this is made from soybeans. This smells very strange and is very sticky. Even some Japanese dislike this food but it is said that this food made our body immune to cancer. Have you ever tried or heard about this? And, what did you feel when you ate it?

never tried
I’ve never tried natto, but I’ve heard it’s an acquired taste.
There is something very special about natto. In addition to the enzymes and probiotics that are plentiful in all fermented foods, natto is the highest vegetable source of Vitamin K2, which is believed to help distribute minerals in the body (it gets them out of your arteries and into your teeth and bones).
I’ve heard of it and seen it, but never wanted to try it.
Why is it that grossest looking foods are supposed to be the healthiest? I think it’s people trying to justify why they eat that stuff.
Natto can be delicious, but it doesn’t do anything to make people who eat it “immune to cancer”, LOL!
While some cancers have lower incidence and/or higher survival rates than in other countries, for some other cancers the opposite is true! Doesn’t that mean natto consumption might cause cancer?
i love japanese food! (but im not japanese though) i have heard of natto, i think they are little colored balls or something! sorry if im wrong but yeah ithink i seen it and heard of it, and arent they sweet? but no i have never tried it, i would like to try though!
I was offered a hand roll sushi with natto. Its aroma was like intense aged gorgonzola cheese. I frankly could not eat it, it was the only thing I felt I would have to get use to. But I did love the Fugu Fin Sake and the Kobe Sabu Sabu
I’m Australian!
I like natto
which I eat with Rice Fried egg and soy sauce!
Thank you!
One of the few Japanese foods I do not like. I will try anything, like most foods. But Natto and Sea Cucumber are two things even I will not willingly eat again.
