Do you have any recipes that can be used from everyday ingredients you’d find in your pantry?

I’m hungry, and I’m kinda low on groceries. Plus, it’s WAY too cold to go to the store. Even if it’s challenging, I don’t care. I love to cook.
Sorry, I need to rephrase this: Do you have any recipes that can be made with ingredients you mostly always have in your pantry?
Some Ingredients I have:
Milk, Eggs, Flour, one apple, three bananas, some chicken and beef stock, old tomatoes, some ground beef, spices, onions, chips, and chocolate.
Plus a few bags of sugar and some butter.
Yes, that’s it.

you could make breakfast food like bacon and eggs.

please specify what ingredients you have.

ie flour eggs milk = pancakes / waffles
top with cheese/ tuna

Check out this website. It allows you to search for recipes by ingredients.

You can make a casserole from a can of soup, some veggies and pasta. Or you can make a stir fry, it’s quick and easy, and you can add what you want.

This is the very definition of Chop Suey……

Chop Suey is basically Chinese for left overs cut into small pieces. Take whatever meat you have, whatever veggies you might have and rice if you have it, chop it up throw it in a pan with lots of soy and you got a tasty meal.

If you have some potatoes, carrots and onions you could make a nice soup with some bullion/stock and a tin o’ tomatoes. Just add a cup of small pasta (macaroni or fussili).

Well what i have in mine, you probably don’t have in yours…

Let’s see… I have Rose water, Jasmine water, Stuff to make curry, spices, gushers, fruit by the foot, lentils, rice, chinese glutonous flour, Cans of tuna, canned sardines, pasta, jar sauce, olives, chick peas, beets, and oatmeal cookie mix.

and the fridge is no better…

Not what you’re looking for I guess?

Well, I always have baking powder and flour in me pantry, luv. A cup of that flour, a teaspoon and a half of baking powder, one egg and enough water to make all the above into a batter, and you’ve got the beginnings of a plateful of waffles or pancakes. Butter a skillet, pre-heat the thing at medium-low setting, and start pouring pancakes – or waffles, if you have and prefer a waffle iron. If y’aint got a lot of syrup, put any sort of fruit you happen to have in the batter and that’ll kick ‘em up a notch. Sprinkle on a bit of powdered sugar and pinch of ground cinnamon to kick ‘em up another notch.
If you just happen to have some light cream in your fridge, whip that and a couple egg whites into peaks and slap a tablespoon of that on your pancakes – BAM! (thanks to Chef Emeril)…

honey! you have plenty
*pancakes** flour-egg-water or milk
*hamberger meat growned eggs onion and tomato** one of my fav.’s
*or ham.meat in a patty- and eggs***steak and eggs

i always keep rice potato’s and butter and noddles and eggs.. all these things are cheep and you can make them all different ways

Take your ground beef, onion, spices and ketchup and make some sloppy joe for a sandwich. Warm food on cold days are always best!

you could make “mock” chicken fried steak……here’s a recipe I’ve tried and tested…….

INGREDIENTS

* 1 pound ground beef
* 2 teaspoons chopped fresh parsley
* 1 tablespoon chili powder
* 1 teaspoon salt
* 1 egg
* 2 cups crushed saltine crackers, divided
* 1/2 cup oil for frying

DIRECTIONS

1. In a medium bowl, mix together the ground beef, parsley, chili powder, salt, egg, and 1 cup of crushed saltine crackers. Form into 6 balls, then flatten into patties. Coat patties with remaining cracker crumbs, and place them on a plate. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
2. Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Fry patties for about 7 minutes per side, or until the centers are well done and the outside is golden brown.

if you don’t have the crackers, just use flour…..and if you have no oil you can use butter………not healthy I know!

I also make pan or flour gravy with the fat from the frying, and lota pepper, then smother the patty with it…..hope this helps!!
