Diet Expert/trainner: What am I doing wrong?
I am 19. 5’4″ and 120lb.
I am not comfortable with my weight, especially on my tummy and thighs. I not I’m not fat, but I have some extra weight that makes me really uncomfortable. I lost weight, down to 108 which I was happy with by eating no grains unless it was quinoa, no fat. Mostly just fruits and veggies and did cardio 45 to 90 minutes a day. I became busy with college and couldnt continue this.
I used to have eating disorders so this extra fat is really stressing me out and Im trying to lose it in a healthy way. Im trying really hard and I feel I am being really strict with myself but I’m not getting the results I want. And i’m frustrated because I know I eat a lot healthier and exercise a lot more then a lot of my friends, though they are so thin with flat tummys while eating pizza.
This is what I do:
I do a 20 minute pilates circle sculpting work out 6 out of 7 days a week. I power walk with spirts of jogging up a really steep hill every other day (sometimes I do a longer walk and more often. Sometimes just to the top. Time it takes ranges between 15 minutes to an hour).
Diet. 95% of the time this is what I do:
-whole wheat vs. white foods
-No potatoes
-Low fat cheese like motzerella, sometimes 1 oz of goat cheese on whole wheat with tomato
-Greek yogurt for breakfast with fruit. or a high fiber cereal or steel cut oats
-I eat fruit often and try to have veggies often.
-I have salads with most my meals to fill me up and eat less of the main course
-Brown rice or quinoa instead of white rice
-rice milk instead of milk
-low fat meals
-i eat smaller meals more frequent then 3 big meals
-I get enough sleep
Do i just need to do more cardio? Do I have to cut out all grains? I feel that is depriving me of something I love. Especially because I love pasta and have already switched to whole wheat pasta and barely eat it. Do I have to cut out all fat? Im frustrated because so many people eat what they liek and still are thin and I’m not happy with myself but try so hard.
Thanks.

Hi,
You have several hundred muscles in your leg, butt, hip, thigh and lower stomach area. The major problem is, not exercising these muscles correctly will make your trouble spots worse and more pronounced, while risking serious injury. However, the right exercises that use these muscles in harmony with each other can bring definite results without spending unrealistic amounts of time on ineffective exercises and risking long term set-backs. You don’t need access to a gym because this type of approach doesn’t require weights and machines.
A year ago I was an out of shape with my lower body was the worst, carrying an extra fat on my stomach. My thighs and butt are quite big. After joining a program which i accidentally found while surfing the web for my consultancy project, i have made the dramatic changes and i feel young, healthy and sexy again. Even my legs are much more slimmer then before. The point is, there’s a much FASTER, BETTER and CHEAPER way to get fit and melt the body butter once and for all without gyms, weights or fancy shmancy expensive exercise equipment.
Previously, i have tried all kinds of workouts and spending a fortune just to look good while presenting my clients, but without success. I recommend this workout to you because it’s affordable and this is the program that finally boost my self esteem.
