A lot of people who are allergic to dairy also cannot have goat milk. If your son has a contact allergy to dairy, the chances of him being allergic to goat milk is even higher.

My son and I both are dairy allergic and had reactions to goat milk cheese when he was an infant - his reaction was via breast milk - he did not eat any himself. My daughter is also allergic to dairy and I would not dare to give her goat milk.

Aside from rice milk, there's not a lot else. I am not knowlegeable about the safety of other milks, i.e. nut milks or hemp. I even saw peanut milk once.. (yikes for us!) You have to fulfill nutritional needs from sources other than beverages. There are safe vitamins you can add, and rice does have some protein, although it isn't much. We use Whole Foods 365 rice milk but he doesn't like it - he just drinks water and juice. I use it only for cereal.

We are also allergic to soy, as well as the rest of the Top 8 foods, plus sesame, oats and others.. (I can't have some fruits and vegetables also).

I would recommend highly that you go to, they are a great non-profit support group :) Lots of information there, including recipes and links to other resources, and parents that have all range of allergies and other food issues and are very helpful.

P.S. if you didn't know already, Mother's Kosher for Passover and Migdals are dairy-free soy-free margarines, and they freeze great.
Good luck!

Wow, he can't even tolerate hard cheeses? Unlucky, our kid can eat everything that has been fermented but not straight milk.

He may or may not develop an allergy to goats milk, he's not allergic right now but anyone can develop an allergy to goats milk just like we can get allergies to cow milk.
