my family uses glaze and pineapples, but brown sugar and orange juice sounds like it would taste good!

If you’ve never made a ham before, I suggest that you don’t purchase a “spiral” cut ham. I’ve used them a few times, and they always seem very dry. I usually purchase a semi-boneless shank.

That being said, I cook a lot of hams, and always get rave reviews by using a mixture of orange juice and dark brown sugar. I slice a diagonal pattern in the top of the ham 1/4″ inch deep. Place whole cloves is each diamond. then baste with the orange / sugar mixture every 1/2 hour or so until done.

I have the PERFECT Reciepe for Honey Glazed Ham…..It’s the best I stole it from my Father…he is the chef of meats…

By your fav ham whole with no bone take it to the deli and have it deli sliced (or sliced however thick or thin you perfer)

Ingredients:
Cherries
Brown Sugar
Honey
Pinneapples

Directions:
Preheat Oven to 350 degrees F.
In a normal baking pan lay one layer of ham drizzle the honey, brown sugar, cherries and pineapple juice ontop be sure not to pour too much juice over the meat (cause you will cause the meat to drown and the juices from the other ingredients will cause it to over flow in your oven and make a huge mess). Repeat with each layer of ham. On the top layer of ham repeat the normal steps just add pinneaples on top it doesnt matter if its whole, sliced or chopped (dont use crushed pinneapples. Bake in the oven till slightly brown. serve and enjoy…
