Consequences of changing all dairy products I eat to soy?
I’ve recently started to replace all the dairy products that I eat with soy alternatives (with the exception of cheese, I don’t believe there is a soy alternative). I’ve changed milk to soy milk, ice cream to soy ice cream and I was going to have a look for soy yoghurt (if it exists).
What are consequences of removing all dairy products from my diet and changing to soy? Will I miss out on some very important nutrient? Thanks.

I dont think there are any consequences to this change. I changed to soy about two years ago and I have tried soy milk, soy icream and soy yogurt; however, I have handled to keep up with soy milk everyday. If you go to silk.com you’ll see the contents of soy milk that include omega-3 oils and calcium just as cow milk. On the other hand, I have stayed away from dairy yogurt and soy yogurt because of the high content of sugar (19grs+). I eat soy ice cream sometimes…but some others I have stuck with the dairy one. I dont eat dairy cheese anymore….but love goat cheese.
I found this book before I changed to soy and its very interesting to see whats healthy for you according to your blood type: “Eat right for your Type”. I changed the foods I eat not only soy and I have shed pounds and felt much better for a while already. Try it! you may be able to buy the book online.
Most soy varieties of common dairy products have the same nutrients that traditional dairy products have. As long as you don’t have an issue with the taste, you should have no problem switching.
