Cayenne Pepper is a chili but why is it the most recommended chili in herbal medicine over other varities?
The Aji, Tabasco and Piquin Chilis have the save heat rating of 30,000-50,000 of scoville units as Cayenne but why is Cayenne the most recommended? What does it have that other chilli’s don’t have? they all have capsaicinoids and Vitamin C don’t they?
but why do farmers grow cayenne more than other chilis?

Farmers grow cayenne pepper more than any other pepper. Not many people grow Aji, Tabasco, and Piquin but they’re all basically the same.
I’m Taking an educational guess. It ( cayenne or red pepper) probably has a higher level of capsicum than other peppers. Capsicum is the ingredient in the pepper that has a calming effect on the stomach. Capsicum is known to help cure a variety of disorders and conditions. It can also help you build up a resistance at the start of a cold.
That’s an interesting question. I am guessing that other peppers might have acids or properties which are not healthy at the concentrated levels of a supplement.
Cayenne is high-heat (40,000 to 100,00 in supplemental form) but appears to be relatively gentle on the body. Cayenne can clot blood on contact but that is not true of other peppers.
I have heard that all peppers, including black pepper are part of the plant family of nightshades. The only exception is cayenne which is apparently not. Nightshades are believed to antagonize the immune system and should be limited in the diet.
So, it seems cayenne has benefits, heat, and is not poisonous even in high-ish doses.
hope that helps.
