Can you mix butter and margarine when baking?
I have a cookie recipe that calls for 1 1/2 cups of butter. I have 1 cup of margarine and 1/2 cup of butter. Will they still turn out okay if I mix the two?

yes they will be fine
Yes, you can mix butter and margarine – your cookies will come out fine but the texture and taste will be slightly different from that if you were to use all butter.
Absolutely. But you cannot use soft tub margarine. It must be the block type – like the butter.
Sure you can. Butter is better but both will do.
It will be OK. Spreads usually have salt added to them, though. So if the recipe calls for a little salt, you could negate it. (Just a tip. They will still turn out fine either way.)
Yes, definitely. In fact, I often substitute half margarine/half butter for cookies because I like the flavor of butter but the texture of margarine. Happy baking!
