Can you cook goya packaged rice in a rice cooker?
I have a Zojirushi Rice cooker (6 cups) and was wondering if I could cook Rice and Black Beans packaged goya rice in it? I heard a rumor only white/brown rice can be made in it. Please help!! Thanks.

I would give it a try. I also cooked Qunioa in mine.
Why not? The whole point is to combine the rice/beans with liquid and heat-exactly the purpose of a rice cooker.
At worst you will come out with inedible food, but there’s no reason it should harm the cooker.
I would not cook anything other than plain rice in a rice cooker. The spices from pre packaged mixes will get into the steam jets and you’ll never be able to get rid of the smell. I ruined my rice cooker by adding saffron powder to plain rice.
