Can people eat feeder corn? I mean what’s the difference between corn grown for cattle and regular corn?
Someone told me that the field next to my house was feeder corn, I’m trying to find out if it’s edible.

I know when we were kids my dad and I would go out to some fields and pick a couple bushel baskets of corn and bring it home for the family!!! I later found out (like 20 yrs later) that it was cow corn….and because we didn’t have much money thats why he did this! My dad allways said that at a certain time , that the corn was kind of sweet and tender enough to eat…. But when that is I do not know!!!!
Cow corn tends to be very tough, starchy, and nearly flavorless. You can eat it, but I am pretty sure that you wouldn’t want too…
