Can I use cream cheese and not sour cream in a layered jello dessert?
I’m making a 6-layer jello dessert. All the recipes call for using sour cream in between the layers, but I seem to remember using cream cheese as a child. Does anyone know a recipe that calls for cream cheese in between jello layers?

u could use cream cheese definitly..but u should whip the hell out of it so its not chunky
well my auntie used to make a layered jello desert except she would use clear gelatin and add milk to it then layer it between the other colors
Yes I suppose you can if the cream cheese is soft enough. Though cream cheese and jello doesn’t sound appetizing “to me”.
My grandmother use to make a black cherry jello salad. Using coca cola instead of water adding sliced bing black cherries and chopped cream cheese and pecans.
