Can I make chocolate looking drizzle for my cookies without using chocolate chips or candy?

I’d like to have the look of chocolate drizzle over my cookies, but where I’m at, chocolate chips are incredibly expensive. I have coco powder and other ingredience, just no chocolate chips or bars. Any suggestions?
Oh, and I’d like it to be a firm drizzle that can withstand being packaged in a decorative bag..Thanks!

You can mix the cocoa powder with some milk. Or, you can buy some solid chocolate candy (Hershey’s chocolate bars or even chocolate easter eggs) and melt them.

chocolate almond bark hards really well. We use it all the time and every holiday

1 Minute Chocolate Frosting Recipe

1 cup granulated sugar
1/4 cup cocoa
1/4 cup butter
1/4 cup milk
1 teaspoon vanilla

Mix together. Bring to a boil and boil for 1 minute. Add vanilla. Cool partially, then beat with a mixer for 3 minutes or until spreadable consistency.

Start with 1 c. powdered sugar and 1/2 c. cocoa powder (maybe add a little instant coffee to intensify the flavor). If you have chocolate syrup, add a squirt of that too … then, using a wire whisk, whisk in liquid 1 TB at a time until desired consistency (adjusting sugar/liquid ratio as you go). You could use brewed coffee as the liquid, or Kahlua, milk, water, whatever you like….

I cup confectioners sugar, sifted (add more if needed)
2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder (about)
1 tablespoon milk (add more if needed)
1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract or any other flavoring (optional)

Just combine in a small bowl and mix well.
