yes you can, any beans are fine

dont think so

Any of the hardshell beans (including peas) can be successfully grown. Of course, it needs to be intact, not split or broken.

Lima beans work if U put it in a bag with a wet paper towel.

no they are all smashed and mushy although if its for a science expieriment why not give it a shot good luck
pjd

probably not but try this grow it in a pot with soil from the store and grow it by a window or a window sill

no I really dont think you can….well you could try but I dont think it would work

no clue

I just buy a can of beans , costs $1

not even sure how they make them or at what factory

Yep have done it myself. Most beans are ready to plant. Ok not canned of course.

The without soil part I am not sure since the plant gets it nutrients from there, but a cup or 2 of soil should be easy enough to deal with. Unless that defeats the reason for the project.

Might want to try a double experiment, one strictly in water and the other in a plant pot. If you see the pot one grow and not the one in water you will have your answer in like a week, 2 at the max.

They grow pretty fast to. From another experiment might want to do 2 potted ones. one just water another with a water /milk mix. Surprised the heck out of me.

You may be able to. But why don’t you pop into a Garden center? They will still have seeds. But you can grow any bean, you get from a supermarket. Just pop it into a glass of water. It will eventually sprout. The only little problem you can get, is sometimes beans sold in supermarkets are sprayed with a substance that stops sprouting, so the garden center would be better.
