Can I add fat to almond milk to make it actually taste good in coffee?

I’ve started my family on a non-dairy, non-gluten, non-soy diet to control health issues we’ve been having. The almond or rice milk is OK on cereal, but I’ve a real hankering for a good latte, and putting these “milks” in coffee is just pathetic. Switching from creamy, tasty whole milk to THIS watery misery is really hard for me. I think it is because these milks are so low in fat, and fat is what adds good flavor. Does anyone have success with adding fat, like olive oil or lard or something, to almond or rice milk to make it more creamy? Thanks in advance!

the only way is to add cream

Coffee mate isn’t made out of dairy and has no gluten or soy. You should try it the hazelnut is delicious.

Unfortunately, most fats have either a dairy basis or else taste very strongly of something else (eg: olive oil). Perhaps try a non-dairy creamer (eg: Nestle Coffee Mate)?

I wouldn’t recommend it, because there are two different kinds of Calories, Good and Bad to make it simple…. and lard and oils are bad calories, which is unhealthy for you. I’d say either find something else to drink, (coffee drinkers normally won’t do that), or stick it out.
