Besides 100% maple syrup, is there a good brand of syrup that DOES NOT contain High Fructose Corn Syrup?
I use to love Aunt Jemima’s syrup until I read the label. Not good enough to risk getting cancer over. Log Cabin and Mrs. Butterworth’s also have HFCS in them. I don’t like maple syrup. Any other brand to try?

No but you can buy Mapleine at the store and make your own it is in the spice isle and the instructions are on the box . Anyway it is also cheaper than buying ready made and tastes better .
Yes you can make your own syrup very easily by using a simply fruit jam, which has nothing but fruit in it. Microwave this jam until it’s warm and syrupy. There is no sugar in it either. Just fruit, and I think some pectin. It may not even have pectin. I know that it has no sugar or corn syrup though. If it’s too thick for you, after you warm it up, just add a little warm water, but for me its perfect without water.
I do this with raspberry jam, blackberry, blueberry. Blueberry is the best.
It’s wonderful on pancakes, waffles, ice cream, french toast, or anything else you’d use a syrup on. You can also make your own sugar based syrup with apple juice or apple cider. You can make maple with sugar and maple flavoring. Links below. On the “almost maple syrup” link, you could substitute any flavor and have any flavor syrup you want.
I’m giving you a link to the Smucker’s site, because it is the company that makes the simply fruit jams. You can buy them in most any grocery store.
Vermont makes the finest all natural maple syrups in the world. I would suggest ordering from them personally on line. This sort of syrup of course, is never as thick as the high fructose corn syrup variety. Especially when it is warm.
well your best bet would be purchasing a sugar free syrup
threre not very good though lol
try some good old enlish golden syrup made just from pure sugar
if you mean maple flavor then you can make syrup by heating brown sugar with a little water until it’s the right consistency. Last I checked, the brown sugar box had that recipe on it. Then add maple flavoring (found in the supermarket by the vanilla and other extracts/flavorings) to taste.
If you just want something gooey and sweet, try heating some natural jelly or jam (read labels til you find one that doesn’t have HFCS) until it’s pourable.
what about regular corn syrup? It’s not the same as high fructose corn syrup
there is a syrup called blue agave get it at health food stores it taste exactly like syrup but its the sweetener of an agave plant…get the light one though the darker one tend to have an after taste in your mouth
