Yes, I’d dilute it with water or milk, if it’s the condensed soup kind.
Try 400-425F for 45-60 minutes; cover with foil to prevent burning.
If you don’t have a meat thermometer, test with a sharp knife.
You want to see clear juices, not pink flesh.
yes, just pour it over the chicken and bake. It all depends on how tender you want the chicken for the time. Bake on 350 degrees for about an hour and a half to get it completely cooked (to keep in moisture so it doesnt dry out make sure to cover the dish). I usually put it in the crock pot for about 5-6 hours and it is soooooooooo tender!! my hubby loves it.
EDIT: honestly, if you are using campbells soup mix, you dont have to add anything or else it will be too watery. Trust from experience. If you want a thicker cream sauce, just pour the soup mix. It will thin out from the baking, and you can stir on occasion to make sure the sides dont burn. Also, after it is done cooking you can add some sour cream to make it creamier – but thats if you are a sour cream person.
Yes, you can do that, bake the chicken at 325. A higher temp will cause the meat to be dry and hard. Be sure to add water to the soup before you top the chicken with it. Also, since I don’t’ know how much chicken you have,,,,well, if you have enough for 4 people, cook about 40 minutes with a cover or foil on top. Let the dish rest 5 minutes before you serve.
