take a deep breath
i just finished that i was one of the lead roles
ok when tring out for mayzie have tons of attitude and sassiness also have a big personalit nd make people notice you if you look the least bit nervous they won;t like you
take a deep breath and drink some tea before the audition it will calm you and sooth you and help you feel million times better
maybe even eat some kind of mint candy it helps with nerves too
also be confident
confidence shines
i was in a play once and it helped
if you try out with confidence and you feel good about yourself the persos who is directing you and choosing who to be in the musical will like you
good luck i hope i helped
love

haha suessical! i love that play.
when you walk in, have a smile on your face but don’t be over confident. and when you are waiting to audition, warm up and go over your song, and then when you feel ready, just try to talk and laugh with your friends. it will get the nerves out of you.
good luck!
OMG i was in suessical and i was Mayzie!!! if you get the part, you’ll love it; its so much fun!
she is a very outgoing, fun, sassy, flamboyant character who thinks she has the most amazing tail you have ever seen (haha), so in your audition, try to portray that character in your monologue/song
ok, the best way to prepare yourself is to go over your monologue/song… over and over and over and over until you know them by heart. you will feel more comfortable doing it
then, before you stand up and actually do it, take a deep breath, say to yourself ‘i am an amazing preformer and i am going to get up there and do the absolute best i can do’
i know it sounds cheesy, but try it. it really works to build up your self confidence
when you are actually up there, introduce yourself, and take maybe 2 seconds (try not to make it longer than that) to just look down at your feet, compose yourself, and when you are ready, look up and go right into it!
try not to start out fast, and pace yourself
good luck, and have fun!
