At the MidEast grocery shop, they sell something for cooking called “mahlap” or “mahlab”. What exactly is that?
It is a ground powder and has a strong aroma. It’s some sort of ingredient a person can add to their baking. What exactly is this herb or spice? What is it called in English? I asked a lady that worked at that store but she didn’t know the English name for it. Also, do you do any baking with it? Tell me how you use it in your cooking. Thanks.
