Are you going to start cooking for your dog?
I am. NO more dog food or treats. I have read everything out on this tragedy that should not have happened. The worst part is they are telling you not to feed your dog table scraps, it isn’t good for them. When ALL dog food made has been proven to have road kill in it and sodium phentobarbital, the drug used to euthanize animals. I didn’t see that ingredient listed on my dog’s food package. I wonder why?
Whatever I eat, my dogs will eat. That way if one of us goes, the whole family goes…………..
This WAS NOT accidental. It couldn’t be. But if it happened once, it can happen again. The FDA has problems keeping human food safe so WHY should we trust them caring for our animals??

there are good dog foods out there but the problem for most ppl is price. they can get pretty expensive. the holistic and or organic dog foods are the only dog foods in my opinon.
I don’t really cook it. I kinda just warm it up under hot water and give it to my dogs…..They’re on the prey model diet
That’s fine if you are willing not to serve foods that aren’t fatal to humans but fatal to dog. Chocolate, citrus fruits, boiled eggs, etc.
You are so right.
it fine dog in jamacia eat table scraps my aunt feeds the dogs every thing she cooks wat ever is left goes to the dogs she even gave the black rum cake and curry chicken nothing overly seasoned
I always have cooked for my dogs. I was horrified and worried for other people’s “fur kids” when the recall list came out, but I was relieved to know I didn’t have to worry about it.
Believe it or not, there are still some good dog foods out there. I feed my dogs Innova. You also have Innova Evo, California Natural, Healthwise, Mother Nature and Karma. They have no fillers or by products and are very good for your dogs. Expensive but not as expensive as cooking homeade food for your dog. You have to make sure they have their proper vitamins and watch they dont eat something that could be toxic to them. Its gets expensive and your dog can wind up not getting the nutrients and vitamins he needs that would be in a GOOD QUALITY dog food.
Innova will be the ONLY dog food I EVER feed my dogs. It may be expensive but my babies are worth it. If I decide to switch foods for whatever reason .. the list above are the only ones I would switch to.
I suggest doing some research on some other dog foods.
I completely agree with you!
“They” don’t care about us and the clearly don’t care what is put into our loved pets.
I’ve always cooked for my dog. My pooch only liked canned food and that got horribly expensive. Ground meat is always on sale and I buy it in bulk. Add to that lots of rice, beans and/or peas, and veggies such as corn, potatoes, and carrots (NO GARLIC OR ONIONS!) and you’ve got food that is way cheaper and better for him than whatever is in that canned stuff. I also make his doggy treats. Again, it’s cheaper (and better) than the stuff in stores. This way I know exactly what’s going into his food. I’m trying to eat healthier by eating whole, natural foods and cleanse my body so that I can live a long, healthy, happy life. Why wouldn’t I want the same for my dog?
I have several cats and one dog. Of those cats one is now 14yrs old and I have been feeding him Hills Prescription Diet for 13 yrs.
When the recall thing started I thought my cats would in no way be affected, after all the food costs 55 bucks per 17.6 lb bag (recently cut back from 20lbs with a 5 dollar price hike) and the company uses only “premium ingredients”. when the company recalled the m/d (a 10 lb bag costs as much as a 17.6lb of the feline w/d) I was scared and then I got angry. I spend $200 a month on food for these cats and I buy the “best” to find out Hills outsourced it’s food production to the lowest bidder and then has the audacity to charge that much for it’s food makes me feel ripped off and stolen from. I do not consider my pets disposable.
My dog eats pro plan – another premium food, yeah right.
So to finally answer the question – Yes I am switching everyone to raw.
