Are potato chips cooked in Peanut Oil bad for your cholesterol?
I know “Tim’s Cascade” brand potato chips and some of the kettle cooked varieties are made with peanut oil. I also read that peanut oil doesn’t affect cholesterol in a bad way.
Does anyone have any information on this? thx.

It’s not as bad as other oils, but all oils are bad for you in excess, so don’t go on a kettle chip diet.

Peanut Oil is much better for you, as it has very little trans fat compared to some of the other oils/shortenings. It also had less saturated fat.
These are better for you than regular chips, and your cholesterol will not be affected as badly.
Chips in peanut oil is not to bad for cholesterol, because peanut oil content high monounsaturated fat good to lower cholesterol and protect your against heart attack.
