Are peas considered a vegetable or a legume?
I have read that you should eat more beans, seeds, peas, and legumes as a source of protein. All this time, I thought peas were vegetables (the little green peas that our parents used to make us eat when we were little). In which food group are they categorized? Thanks for your help!

A pea is the small, edible round green bean which grows in a pod on the leguminous vine Pisum sativum, or in some cases to the immature pods. This legume is cooked as a vegetable in many cultures.
Peas are a legume and very good for you!
Legume is just another word for vegetables, they mean the same thing.
Depends on whether you are the Mother or the child. If you’re the Mother, it’s a legume. If you’re a child it’s a yucky vegetable.
