Are fumes from vinegar bad for you?

I’ve switched to vinegar and baking soda to clean my bathtub – hopefully to be less toxic to me and the environment. I dumped a bunch of vinegar onto a washrag. The odor/fumes were very strong. I had the fan on but still pretty strong. Are these fumes bad for you? Probably not as bad as conventional bathtub cleaners, but still a bit concerned.
Seems like everyone doesn’t know what they are talking about

I just found this :

Warnings

Is there anything you shouldn’t use vinegar for? Yes. Don’t use it to brush your teeth, as it dissolves calcium. Don’t use it around glued joints of furniture, as it will dissolve most glues, and don’t leave it on metal surfaces to avoid the danger of pitting.

While it’s gentle enough for most applications, don’t forget that it has the power that comes from strong acids. It’s easily soluble in water, though, so simply rinse any surface thoroughly that it might damage, and/or use baking soda to neutralize any traces.

Keep it away from marble and other fine stones as it can eat into them – just like it does calcium.

One more warning is in order. The fumes from vinegar can sometimes cause respiratory distress in those who are sensitive, like asthmatics or those with emphysema. The remedy is fresh air, or if the reaction is severe, emergency medical help may be necessary.

no, won’t hurt anything

no no no no no. (Assuming It’s Natural Vinegar)

If you were to be sniffing the fumes all day long by having vinegar on a rag pressed up against your nose, You might weaken the skin in your nose if you’re doing it for a long time, but you’re not going to do that so don’t worry.

Infact vinegar could one day proove to be a lifesaver, there is a rapid growing and fatal flesh eating mould (a Type Of Mucor Mould) out there which has nearly claimed the lives of two people by them unknowingly inhaling it & it Eating away half their heads from the sinus area (within 4 days)
(If you want you can do some research yourself on this mold and other extremely toxic moulds (which are all around you now by the way))

If You think you have come into the deadliest of mucor mold’s then immediately (A.S.A.P.) get Vinegar and splash it on your nose while inhaling This will cause discomfort but might save your life as VINEGAR KILLS MOLD FULL STOP.

No.
Vinegar is used a salad dressing. If you can put that into your system, you might as well sniff it up.

BTW: Don’t use the artificial white vinegar (this one is actually bad for you to eat and smell), use the organic one…no side effects and is healthy.

i dont think so

Think about it, people eat vinegar so why would the smell of it be harmful?

No-there are no ingredients in vinegar that are harmful or toxic-but since it is high in acidity when you apply to skin or take internally should dilute in some water-when drinking for health benefits usually t tablespoon in a glass of water-the brown unprocessed vinegar only found in health food store. When applied to skin restores the normal pH of skin.

I would make sure that you don’t add it with bleach though. Bleach or ammonia are what you need to be careful with. You can clean lot of stuff with it though, you may need to use less vinegar and more water. In a closed in place you should have good ventilation to use certain cleaning products anyway. Leave the room and let it air out, don’t put yourself through that strong smell.

No – vinegar can’t harm you at all.

no it won’t hurt you in fact I used to drink apple cider vinegar if you let homemade apple cider sit for to long you will have the best vinegar you would ever want

Mix it with some baking soda in a little bucket – baking soda is a base and will help neutralize the vinegar.

I don’t know, but you missed something….vinegar CAN be used as a weed killer.

no,it want hurt you.

no no not at all
