Any good dip recipies with sour cream and cream cheese?
Hi,
Having a party tomorrow, and we have a full block of cream cheese and 8 oz. (smaller size) of sour cream. I have a few things I could mix in like “Garlic Garlic” seasoning from Pampered Chef, a dill dip seasoning mix, and dried veggie soup mix. Any experience mixing sour cream with cream cheese and adding seasoning like this? The Garlic dip recommends mixing sour cream with mayo, but that doesn’t sound appetizing.

Hey with cream cheese, TUNA goes GREAT!
Its so good with butter crackers like club crackers!
And also if you have velvita, My mom always make this!
A whole block of velvita, pound and a half of scrambled hamburger meat. sour cream, and salsa!
Melt it all together!
Oh and you need to put milk in it while your melting the velvita!
And just use some regular tortilla chips!
We call it puke dip because it looks like it lol!
Hope I helped!
Have a great party!

Blend equal parts cream cheese and sour cream with artichoke hearts, garlic and jalapenos. Makes a yummy dip.
Pan-Fried Onion Dip
2 large yellow onions
4 tablespoons unsalted butter
1/4 cup vegetable oil
1/4 teaspoon ground cayenne pepper
1 teaspoon kosher salt
1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
4 ounces cream cheese, at room temperature
1/2 cup sour cream
1/2 cup good mayonnaise
Cut the onions in half and then slice them into 1/8-inch thick half-rounds. (You will have about 3 cups of onions.) Heat the butter and oil in a large saute pan over medium heat. Add the onions, cayenne, salt, and pepper and saute for 10 minutes. Reduce the heat to medium-low and cook, stirring occasionally, for 20 more minutes until the onions are browned and caramelized. Allow the onions to cool.
Place the cream cheese, sour cream and mayonnaise in the bowl of an electric mixer fitted with the paddle attachment and beat until smooth. Add the onions and mix well. Taste for seasonings. Serve at room temperature.

This is a great family recipe that I love:
PIZZA CHIP DIP
Ingredients:
1 chopped green pepper
1 chopped onion
8oz cream cheese
1 jar pizza sauce
1 reg. bag mozzarella cheese
1 pkg pepperonis
**optional, 8oz sour cream mixed in with layers
Directions:
In a flat-bottomed bowl, spread the cream cheese on the bottom. Then, put a thin layer of the mozzarella cheese on top. Dice green peppers and onions, and chop the pepperonis in fourths, or however you like. Make a layer of pizza sauce on top of the cheeses, then sprinkle the peppers and onions. Top with pepperonis, and then the rest of the cheese. Bake at 350 degrees until cheese on top is melted.
This dip is great for chips but can be used for veggies too.
Cucumber Dip
8oz. Cream cheese (softened)
16 oz Sour cream
16 oz. French onion chip dip
Cucumbers (remove seeds and dice)
Garlic salt
Mix all ingredients together and let chill for at least 2 hours
To mix the sour cream with the cream cheese you just have to let the cream cheese sit out for awhile until it’s soft.
Crab Dip
8 ounces cream cheese
1 can canned crab meat
barbecue sauce
Soften cream cheese and add crab meat and then just gradually add a little barbecue sauce and mix, just keep adding until you have the consistency you want. If the barbecue is tasting the way you want it you can add a little bit of milk to finish.
