Age to buy Sherry Cooking Wine?

What age do you have to be to buy Cooking Wine (the type that has added salt in it)? I’ve heard that because it is considered a food product instead of an alcohol you don’t have to be 21, despite the fact that ABV is roughly 15%. Is this true?

Also, if I were to drink it, would it have any negative effects beyond the normal ones induced by consuming alcohol (and the salty taste)?

You can check with law enforcement in the area where you live. Also, you can check with the DEA about the qualities of such wine and any age limitations. Peace!

You don’t get carded for buying cooking sherry, and it sucks to drink( if thats your plan).

At least old enough to be in a grocery store by yourself.

And yes, it will make you sick.

If you are so intent on drinking and you are obviously underage, drink vanilla.

depending on the meat, use a full bodied wine. Once you have rendered the wine it can be used as a sauce in many ways.

You have to be from 18-21 depending upon the store! No matter which alcoholic drink you buy, you have to be an adult!

IT IS ILLEGAL TO SEND A MINOR TO BRING WINE NO MATTER EVEN IF ITS NON ALCOHOLIC!

THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS COOKING WINE WHICH CANNOT BE CONSUMED ON ITS OWN!

The same age as all other alcohol
