Looks pretty good.
However, you should always be formual feeding before you offer any solid foods.
Formula/breast milk is the main source of nutrition for a baby under the age of 12 months. Solid food is simply a toy at this point in time, something for them to learn how to do…if you solid feed first, they fill up on that which has no nutrition (especially the cereals…take a look at the box…hardly any calories) and don’t have room for the stuff that they really need. This puts them at risk for malnutrition/dehydration/constipation. Always formula feed first…then offer the solid food (oh about 20 min later), that way you ensure that he gets all of the nutrition that he needs. It is better for him to fill up on the formula and have less of an appetite for the solid food.
Skip the juice…a baby under 12 months should not be given any water of juice at all….after 6 months 1-2 oz of water is it…not more…it can be dangerous to the baby (again..fills their tummy on things that they do not need). They get enough water from the formula, you don’t need to give him any more.
sounds like my babys routine lol!
I think it looks good. You’re not feeding too much food a time. Doesn’t even sound like a whole jar yet, which is as it should be. I would skip the juice, however. It’s not necessary at this point. Unless it’s been recommended by his doc for constipation or something.
jmho, but doesn’t sound like enough formula; each is diff but mine is a small gal and she drank and ate a lot more than that at seven mos…
