Doctors didnt believe me,so i never figured out the reason for this. I changed her to Soy based formula,and she never had one of these episodes again. at 18 months switched her from soy formula to soy milk ( minimum age for soy milk is 18 months). She is 3 now and can drink milk fine. Then when my son was born he was diagnosed as lactose intolerant, we gave him a lactose free formula but now he is 18 months and drinks cow milk fine! it is so confusing and stressful trying to find what is best for your baby. My daughter ended up puking and having a hard time sleeping after we tryed her on a small bit of cows milk. She is on soy formula now.. but the doctor said she wasn't intolerant to milk but the hospital just put her on it because they thought they knew best. She told me to keep trying till she gets it but i'm worried about it and i'm even switching doctors! Sorry i can't help. I hope someone gives you a great answer though! I’m having the same problem.
